The Giant Company is continuing to grow, announcing plans to hire 4,000 new employees on Sept. 15. The positions are a mixture of full-time and part-time jobs and range from store workers to distribution center employees to delivery drivers.

The new jobs will be at Giant’s soon-to-open store at 6301 Grayson Road in Harrisburg, its distribution center in Carlisle, Giant Direct facilities in Camp Hill and Lancaster as well as numerous other stores that are under the Giant company. “With the increased demand for both in-store and online grocery shopping continuing, we are looking to hire in all areas of the business throughout the holiday season and beyond, helping us deliver on our purpose of connecting families for a better future, while having fun along the way," said Matthew Lutcavage, the vice president of human resources for Giant.

The Giant Company has hired roughly 7,000 new team members since the start of 2020. The new Giant employees will have to undergo the company’s training program as well as learn more about its new brand platform: For Today’s Table. The Giant Company offers its employees benefits, including parental leave which provides new parents an additional four weeks of fully paid leave during the first 12 months after their child has been born.
