After a frosty night, the Portland metro area woke up to a thick blankets of fog covering the city Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for much of the Willamette Valley and Southwest Washington. The thick fog could impact driving conditions until 11 a.m. with slick, freezing roads and visibility of 1/4 mile or less, according to the weather service.
Once the fog burns off, Sunday could look a lot like Saturday, with dry, sunny skies, a high near 51 degrees and another cold night with temperatures expected to dip to 36. Rain is expected to return to the metro area Monday night and could last through Thanksgiving.
