TRUSSVILLE — A local business has landed on a national list of top workplaces.
SPOC Automation has been named to Inc. magazine’s list of the Best Workplaces for 2020. The magazine trimmed down a list of more than 3,000 companies to single out 395 finalist from across the country.
Employees from more than 3,000 companies of all sizes and industries took part in a survey, conducted by Omaha’s Quantum Workplace, on topics including trust, management effectiveness, perks, and confidence in the future. Inc. gathered, analyzed, and audited the data. Then Quantum ranked all the employers using a composite score of survey results.
SPOC Automation, which is located at 7363 Gadsden Hwy. in Trussville, is an innovation company that manufactures automation technology for both the
upstream and midstream segments of the oil and gas industry.
According to its website, the company also has three locations in Texas, one in Oklahoma and another in Colorado.
“I learned in those early days the importance of taking care of people,” said Robert Mason, CEO of SPOC Automation. “When you take care of your people, when they feel like they belong and that they matter — they will take care of your customers and each other. From our first day, we’ve emphasized our culture and how we are going to treat each other. It’s one of our defining advantages. We are honored that Inc. magazine recognizes the efforts of our entire company.”
