One company is giving someone $8,000 on Black Friday to go on an online shopping spree of their dreams.
CouponLawn is looking “to observe the changes in online shopping habits and the effectiveness of coupons during the post-pandemic.” To do so, they’re be giving someone thousands of dollars and watching their purchases to keep track of their spendings and how the company’s coupons and deals work.
“With everyone saving up for Black Friday this November 27, it is expected that people will shift towards online shopping rather than physical stores due to the pandemic,” the company’s website states.
The catch is that the lucky winner will only have an hour to spend the money.
That person will also be required to try at least 10 merchants “to test the validity and effectiveness of our coupons and deals.” They will also be required to “share with us your shopping routine, your shopping experience, and the benefits of using our coupons and deals.”
The company is looking for a frequent online shopper, used to money-saving tactics and a legal U.S. resident. Plus, the company said, you have to be good at making decisions considering you’ll only have an hour.
Of course, you also get to keep everything you buy.
Those interested in apply can do so with a 60 second video and a 300-word essay “explaining why you are the most suitable candidate for this position.”
Applications are accepted until Nov. 26.
