Health care technology company LocuMatch announced Dec. 10 that it plans to move its headquarters to McKinney from its current location at Health Wildcatters in downtown Dallas. The company also plans to create 13 new high-tech and executive jobs over the next three years with a grant from the McKinney Economic Development Corp. Innovation Fund.

LocuMatch founder Mohammad Badar said he was excited to move into McKinney.

“Our new office provides us with a shorter commute and moves us closer to where we are seeing the largest part of our customer base grow,” Badar said in a statement. “Working with the MEDC, [and] learning about their vision for bolstering the local tech ecosystem, has been positive, and we will benefit from the growth of the local tech industry.”

The innovation fund was established by MEDC in January as a way to award grant funding to startups and other companies that do not necessarily qualify for traditional economic incentives.

The company offers a software-as-a-service application it created called LocuMatch that connects physicians and nurses directly to hospitals and networks in need of their services. Founded in 2018, the platform also allows hospitals and clinicians to negotiate details of their contracts on an individual basis.

“LocuMatch will enhance the cost efficiency of recruiting physicians and medical talent to health care systems through a user-friendly application,” Badar said.

The 13 new positions to be created over the next three years will give LocuMatch 15 total employees with an average salary of $70,000.

"Being able to recruit a company within the Health Wildcatters brand, with their many notable accolades and reputation is an incredible feat and a testament to what type of industries we want to build in McKinney through the innovation fund,” MEDC Senior Vice President Danny Chavez said in a statement. “We’re excited to partner with LocuMatch and to help them scale.”

The innovation fund has also assisted startups such as Alanna.ai, Invene, MyTelemedicine and CourMed that have expanded in McKinney.

LocuMatch’s new headquarters will be near Craig Ranch in the Yeager Building, 6401 W. Eldorado Parkway. https://locumatch.com
