Interstate 70 is open as of just after 8 a.m. It was closed for poor weather conditions from Limon to Burlington for hours earlier in the morning.
U.S. Highway 36 is closed in each direction from Last Chance to Kansas state line due to winter driving conditions are poor. CDOT says to expect long delays or seek an alternate route.
A crash is slowing down the westbound lanes on Highway 36 at 92nd Avenue in Westminster.
An earlier crash on Interstate-25 and Colorado Boulevard which has been cleared is still leaving heavy delays near the Denver Tech Center.
Side streets around the state are covered in wet snow. This has caused downed power lines on streets in Denver, closing 14th Street through Capitol Hill.

There are chain and traction laws for much of the high country roads. Commercial vehicles not chaining up caused a major back up early this morning near Floyd Hill.
