The deadline to vote for the 2020 Impact 100 grant winners is tonight at midnight, and winners will be announced Thursday.
According to officials, all Impact 100 members should have received an email last week containing the 2020 finalist presentations, which can be voted on and submitted online.
During Impact 100’s annual meeting, set to take place virtually this Thursday at 5 p.m., winners will be announced — and $238,800 in grants will be awarded.

Impact 100 Owensboro is a community of women that seeks to transform lives in the Greater Owensboro area through high-impact and lifelong giving and is celebrating its 15th year of providing grants to local nonprofit organizations. NextGen is awarding a grant for the fourth year.
Each finalist presented a seven-minute presentation about their organization and related project. Members are able to read about each organization and project and watch pre-recorded site visit interviews before the annual meeting.
Three nonprofit organizations were named finalists for one $10,800 grant that comes from Impact 100 NextGen.
NextGen grant finalists and proposed projects include:
- Girls Inc. — The Teen Impact Room
- The Owen Autism Center — Sensory Solutions impacting those with autism
- Sunrise Children’s Services — Autism Sensory Room
Three grants will be awarded by Impact 100. Two nonprofits were named finalists for one $26,000 residual grant, while five nonprofits were named finalists for two $100,000 large grant awards.
Residual grant finalists and related proposed projects include:
- Dream Riders of Kentucky — insulate equine therapies arena and construct a private mental health therapeutic area for adults and children with mental and behavioral health needs
- Wendell Foster — purchase HUBSCRUB Disinfectant Machine and Electrostatic Sprayers that will aid in the protection of the clients served while saving valuable time in providing a more effective sanitizing/disinfecting method
Large grant finalists include:
- Friends of the Daviess County Public Library — establish the Impact Center for job seekers and small business owners
- H.L. Neblett Center — Elevate to Educate: The Western Academy at the Neblett Center
- Owensboro Community and Technical College — Laptop Loaner Program providing 100 laptops available to checked out by students
- RiverPark Center — Arts Teach Kids on the Go; taking productions on the road to schools and healthcare facilities, extending the reach of the performing arts across the region
- Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center — aid in the purchase of a new Bloodmobile, extending the capability for blood drives to obtain life-saving blood products
