“No matter what projects are chosen to receive grant funding, they are all winners in our community,” Wahl said. “It is our hope, and it has happened many times in the past, that through Impact 100’s recognition, the community may see their value and step up to support their very important work.”

Awards will be decided on Oct. 14 when Impact 100’s members will come together in person at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum and virtually via Facebook live stream for the organization’s annual meeting.

Each finalist will offer a 7-minute presentation about their organization and related project. Members will be able to read about each organization and project in advance of the annual meeting.

Impact 100 Owensboro is a community of women that seeks to transform lives in the Greater Owensboro area through high-impact and lifelong giving and is celebrating its 16th year providing grants to local nonprofit organizations. NextGen is awarding a grant for the fifth year.

“We are so grateful to our members for seeing the value in the work done by nonprofits in our community,” said Beth Clements, Grants Committee Chair and Impact 100 Owensboro’s President-Elect. “We have so many amazing organizations in Owensboro that strive to make our community a great place to live. These nonprofits offer such a broad range of services to meet almost any need. It is our privilege to be able to work alongside them and aid them in their mission.”
