KVP International’s move to McKinney is on track, with the veterinary medical supply company set to arrive in town in October, the McKinney Economic Development Corporation confirmed this week.
The company, which makes products like the plastic cones that go around dogs heads after a veterinary procedures, braces and splints, and animal control poles, is moving its headquarters from Chino, California.
It will create more than 80 new jobs in the city, the MEDC posted on Facebook.
The site, in University Business Park, was part of a parcel of land sold to Heady Investments by the MEDC that will be developed by Heady.

“On approximately 7 acres of the site, Heady Investments will develop a 120,000-square-foot warehouse, including office space, light manufacturing and distribution,” Heady Investments vice president Sayres Heady told the DMN in January. “The remaining 2.88 acres are currently being studied by two other additional tenants for their relocation as well.”
Despite the pandemic, a number of companies are heading to McKinney or expanding their presence there this year, with Raytheon’s new facility expected to be completed by the end of the year and Dynacraft completing its move of a divisional headquarters from Algona, Washington to a McKinney facility.
